AGM – Paint Shop (Plastic / ABS Components)(BMC Job 348)

Paint Shop operations (Plastic, ABS components) to achieve high-quality output, cost efficiency, and delivery commitments while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities (KRAs):

1. Production Management

   • Lead daily paint shop operations (pre-treatment, painting, curing, inspections).

   • Ensure adherence to production plans, quality standards, and delivery timelines.

   • Plan and manage manpower across shifts.

2. Quality Assurance

   • Drive process quality and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).

   • Lead efforts to reduce rework, rejection, and ensure defect-free output.

   • Coordinate with QA/QC teams to meet customer quality expectations.

3. Technical & Process Improvement

   • Implement process improvements, lean manufacturing, and 5S principles.

   • Monitor and control paint consumption, transfer efficiency, and wastage.

   • Introduce new paint technologies and automation where feasible.

4. People Management

   • Lead a team of engineers, supervisors, operators.

   • Conduct regular training and skill development programs.

   • Foster a culture of accountability and high performance.

5. Maintenance & Equipment Efficiency

   • Coordinate with maintenance team for upkeep of paint booths, curing ovens, and robots.

   • Monitor OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and minimize downtime.

6. Compliance & EHS

   • Ensure strict adherence to environmental, health, and safety standards in the paint shop.

   • Maintain documentation as per IATF/ISO/TS16949 requirements.

Candidate Profile:

• B.E. / B.Tech – Mechanical / Production / Paint Technology.

• In-depth technical knowledge of ABS/PP/Plastic paint shop operations.

• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.

• Exposure to working with major automotive OEMs or Tier-1s.

• Knowledge of robotic paint application systems is preferred.
