Job Purpose:
To ensure adherence to statutory compliance, labor laws, and HR policies at the plant level while supporting the smooth functioning of day-to-day HR activities. The role focuses on maintaining employee relations, compliance management, and fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Compliance Management
- Ensure compliance with all labor laws, including Factories Act, ESI, PF, Minimum Wages, and Bonus Act.
- Conduct internal audits to verify adherence to statutory requirements and address gaps.
- Liaise with government authorities and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth inspections and audits.
- Maintain proper documentation and records for all compliance activities.
2. Employee Relations
- Handle grievances and provide timely resolution to employee concerns at the plant.
- Conduct employee counseling and disciplinary actions as per company policy.
- Promote employee engagement through initiatives like regular communication, welfare activities, and feedback mechanisms.
3. HR Operations
- Oversee attendance management, leave records, and payroll coordination for plant employees.
- Support in manpower planning and recruitment at the plant level.
- Conduct onboarding, induction, and training sessions for new employees.
- Maintain updated employee records and HRIS data.
4. Health, Safety, and Welfare
- Ensure proper implementation of health, safety, and welfare policies as per the Factories Act.
- Conduct safety drills and ensure employee awareness about safety protocols.
- Monitor plant-level welfare programs and suggest improvements.
5. Policy Implementation and Reporting
- Assist in implementing corporate HR policies and ensuring alignment with plant operations.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports to senior management periodically.
- Support in ISO, SA8000, or other plant certifications related to HR compliance.

- Timely and accurate adherence to statutory compliance requirements.
- Effective grievance handling and resolution time.
- Improvement in employee engagement and retention metrics.
- Reduction in compliance-related non-conformities or penalties.
- Timely completion of audits and inspections without escalations.

- Percentage of compliance with labor laws and audits passed.
- Number of employee grievances resolved within defined timelines.
- Attendance and attrition rates at the plant.
- Successful implementation of training and development initiatives.
- Employee satisfaction scores from engagement surveys.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: MBA/PGDM in HR or a related field.
- Experience: 5–7 years in HR with a strong focus on compliance, preferably in a manufacturing setup.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and statutory requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS tools.
- Ability to handle pressure and resolve conflicts.
