- Ensure compliance with all direct and indirect tax laws, including Income Tax, TDS, GST, and other applicable taxes.
- Review and payment of GST for each state and TDS on monthly basis within due dates.
- Preparation, review and submission of timely and accurate GST and TDS returns within due date on monthly and quarterly basis.
- Payment of advance tax and filing of annual income tax return.
- Oversee and ensure completion of income tax audit.
- Oversee and ensure completion of GST audit in addition to minimizing GST input credit loss.
- Handle tax assessments, scrutiny cases, and tax litigation, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external advisors as needed.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, assessing their impact on the business and implementing necessary changes.
- Manage reconciliation of TDS receivable and GST reconciliation between books and GST portal.
- Review deferred tax calculations in line with financial reporting standards.
- Maintain maker-checker documentation for audit purposes.
