Procurement & Supply Chain Management

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Strategy & Operations

• Lead the entire Procurement & SCM function including direct, indirect, capital goods, raw materials, and consumables.

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely availability of materials.

• Build strong vendor development and evaluation systems.

• Drive cost-saving initiatives, total cost of ownership (TCO) optimization, and supplier consolidation.

Supply Chain Management

• Oversee end-to-end supply chain from demand planning, inventory management, logistics, warehousing, and dispatch.

• Ensure efficient coordination between production planning and procurement to minimize lead time and stock-outs.

• Monitor and enhance logistics efficiency (inbound/outbound), freight negotiations, and timely deliveries.

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Lead and develop a high-performing procurement and logistics team.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with production, finance, R&D, and senior leadership for business alignment.

• Interface with global suppliers and OEMs as required.

Process Improvement & Compliance

• Implement digital procurement tools / ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).

• Ensure compliance with statutory norms, audits, and ESG/sustainability goals.

• Continuously review and improve SOPs, KPIs, SLAs, and procurement governance processes.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; MBA in Supply Chain / Operations preferred.

• Minimum 20 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in procurement & SCM.

• Strong understanding of global sourcing, cost engineering, supplier audits, and lean supply chains.

• Experience in manufacturing-heavy industries (e.g., automotive, machinery, tooling, capital goods).

• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and team leadership skills.
